Edward Saldaña brings over 23 years of experience to the legal matters that he handles for subcontractor and general contractor clients arising on their construction projects located throughout Texas, which are typically commercial in nature. He also oversees the retention of and handling of such matters by local counsel for clients when such legal services are needed for projects located outside of Texas.

Edward provides efficient and practical advice and counsel at all phases of construction and of the legal process – from evaluation, drafting, and negotiation of proposed contracts, drafting or responding to deficiency notices, pre-lien notices, liens, bond claims, and lien foreclosure and/or commercial collection lawsuits seeking payment of unpaid balances owed to clients for the labor and/or materials that they have provided on projects.

Over the course of his career, he has become a trusted advisor and the outside general counsel of many contractor clients who regularly rely on his valuable advice and counsel on legal issues that arise on a day-to-day basis in their businesses.

Legacy Interiors, LLC v. Eldorado Construction Consulting, LLC – Suit against general contractor and commercial property owner seeking payment of unpaid balance for labor and materials provided on commercial construction projects. Lien claim resolved by agreement with owner. Remaining claims resolved by agreement after litigating discovery dispute. Agreed settlement amounts paid in full to client.

RAF Exteriors, Inc. v. Valero Home Solutions, LLP et al – Represented stucco subcontractor in lawsuit to recover payment from general contractor, general contractor’s principal, and property owner on breach of contract, misapplication of trust funds, and mechanic’s lien foreclosure claims. Obtained final summary judgment for client for entire amount of debt, statutory interest at 1- 1/2% per month, plus all attorney’s fees and costs, and including foreclosure of the client’s mechanic’s lien and order of sale of the property. The entire judgment amount was paid in full to client a few days before the scheduled constable’s sale of the property under the Order of Sale.

Advanced Diversified Services, Inc. d/b/a ADS Steel v. SCI Texas Funeral Services, Inc. v. CRG Masonry & Stucco, Inc. et al – Commercial-construction collection case involving many lien-claimant subcontractors and retainage funds interpleaded by project owner. All claims and case resolved in mediated agreement involving payment of increased pro-rata share to client after elimination or reduction of invalid lien claims.
