Michael A. Weaver has been a Martindale Hubble 5.0 AV Rated corporate transactions, employment and technology attorney for the past 30 years. In 2020 Michael added Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning to his practice and is currently in private practice at the firm of Saunders, Walsh & Beard in McKinney, Texas.

Depending on the estate size and complexity, Michael usually recommends a Living Trust over a Will as the foundational estate planning tool for many important reasons. He has extensive legal experience as an in-house general counsel and an attorney in private practice focusing on corporate transactions, technology licensing and related IT contracts, business law and M&A activities for privately owned companies. Over the last 30 years, Michael has served as in-house general counsel for a variety of clients, including a large Texas based staffing company and a start-up cyber security technology company which was sold.

Mr. Weaver has experience drafting and negotiating middle market and large syndicated secured commercial loans on various assets including real estate and equipment as well as intellectual property, software, hardware and IT consulting contracts. He also has profit center managerial experience as the Operations Director & Vice President of Chase PULSE where he directed all performance and regulatory compliance aspects of the IT division, including management of 25 employees and responsibility for the outsourced Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Services relationship between JP Morgan Chase Bank and the PULSE EFT Association.
