Litigation Associate (6+ years)
Our firm is hiring a litigation attorney with a minimum of 6 years of experience to handle construction/commercial litigation cases and pre-litigation construction lien and payment bond claims under the direction of senior attorneys. The position would be ideal for an attorney looking to supplement and further develop his or her practice within the firm’s platform.
Responsibilities:
Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action. Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys. Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals.
Qualifications:
Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients. Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association). Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base. Successful completion of the bar exam. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school.

- Education: Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience.
- Location: Willingness to work in our McKinney, Texas office.
